There are small groups which meet in peoples homes to have a time of fellowship, worship and Bible study. The groups meet weekly, with about 8 to 10 people in each group – which are friendly and informal.

7Up and Crusade – These groups are two midweek youth groups where we have great time together. The groups are part of the Crusaders network of groups across the UK – more national information can be found on www.crusaders.org.uk

Revive – a monthly church gathering takes place on the first Tuesday each month.

History - It was in 1850 that the first Baptist Church was built in Neyland, named Hebron Baptist Chapel. In 1862, a second Baptist Chapel was built in 1863.

Owen Philips JP laid the foundation stone on the 28th April 1902, for Bethesda Chapel and this building, in which worship has continued to this day was officially opened for worship on Wednesday 14th October 1903.Past Ministers included the Rev T.L.Parry, the late Lord Gordon Parry's father, minister from 1929 to 1946.

In the 1930's,during the Depression there was a movement of people from the Valleys of South Wales to the "Settlements" which were built north of Neyland, and it was not unusual to see both Rev Parry and the ministers of adjoining chapels and churches, driving with horse and trap to these "Settlements" competing for respective congregations to attend their own chapels and churches!.

Numbers declined between 1969 and 1978, to only a few members, but quality not quantity saved the day.

With courage and conviction the Rev Steve Lee was called to Bethesda in June 2000, and under Rev Steve Lee's leadership and vision into the 21st Century, the congregation has grown to over 70, regularly sharing and caring for each other. It is a now growing house, and very much alive.

The church of Saint Clement’s Neyland, in St Clement’s Road, by the Library, was built in 1930, after the original wooden structure of 1899, blew down in the great gale of 1928.

This wooden building, the original St Clement’s is now used as the hall. It plays an important part in church life with ‘Alive & Kicking’ youngsters meeting there as well as the Mother’s Union, and Parish meals and socials.

The wider community uses it for badminton, and the Cardiac Exercise Club.

The Parish Church is in Llanstadwell, right by the water, and is called St Tudwal’s.

It can be easily picked out by its distinctive square tower. This building is open most days for anyone to walk in to pray, sit down or look around and appreciate the beauty that God has given to this part of the world. Do drop by; it’s worth the effort.
